Connecticut Non-Resident State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers

Issued by the Connecticut State Police Special Licensing and Firearms Unit. Massachusetts residents apply as non-residents — you do not need to live in Connecticut.

Do I have to live in Connecticut?
No — that's what a non-resident permit is for. Massachusetts residents apply to the Connecticut State Police Special Licensing and Firearms Unit as non-residents.
Does the class give me the permit?
No. The class satisfies the training requirement. You then apply to the Connecticut State Police Special Licensing and Firearms Unit yourself, and they decide.
Do I need my Massachusetts license first?
For some states, yes — several require a home-state license before issuing a non-resident permit. The Multi course covers Massachusetts and Connecticut in one sitting, so you can pursue both.
