A Revere Clerk Opened the Store at 7 A.M. Then a Gunman Walked In
Just after opening, an armed man walked into a Revere convenience store, held a gun to the clerk's head, and emptied the register in about five minutes.
Scene imagery is illustrative — not the actual locationIt was about 7:20 on a Friday morning in March 2024 at the Wonderland Convenience Store on North Shore Boulevard in Revere. The store had just opened. According to CBS Boston, a masked man walked in, went behind the counter, and put a gun to the employee's head while he cleared out the cash register.
He did not stop at the register. The robber also took the clerk's own cash and cell phone. On his way out, surveillance video showed him grabbing an ice cream sandwich. The whole thing lasted roughly five minutes, and then he was gone. Revere police later recovered the clerk's phone and asked the public for tips.
The story did not end there. Federal prosecutors later charged a Revere man in connection with this robbery and a second one at an Everett convenience store less than a week later, saying the robber brandished a handgun and demanded cash from the register in each. He was ultimately sentenced to nine years in federal prison.
