Questions

The things people ask before they reserve.

I have genuinely never touched a firearm. Will I be the only one?

No. First-timers are the majority of every class we run. The whole course assumes you are starting from zero, and the instructor stands next to you on the range.

Which version should I take?

If you'll only ever carry in Massachusetts, the Massachusetts LTC at $249. If you drive, fly or work across state lines, the 39 State Multi at $349 — it includes the MA LTC course, so you never take both. Same class, same day: you pick the version at checkout. Compare them side by side.

Is the 39 State version 39 licenses?

No — six licenses, taught here: Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Florida. Reciprocity between states carries those six to MA and 38 other states in total. See the map.

How long is it, and how many times do I come?

Four to five hours, once. Classroom and live fire in the same visit — there is no second appointment.

Do I need my own firearm?

No — and please do not bring one. We provide the firearm, the ammunition and your ear and eye protection. Never come to class with your own firearm, especially if you are travelling from out of state. Bring a photo ID and wear closed-toe shoes.

Can I do any of it from home?

We email a prep video the moment you reserve and you can watch it online at home. It's a head start on the material, not a replacement for any part of the class. The four to five hours happen here, in person.

What do I actually walk out with?

The knowledge and skills you need to apply for your license, plus your target. You finish the course qualified to apply — you then do the application online and download your certificate yourself. Nobody hands out a license, or a certificate, in a classroom.

What if I get denied?

If you take the course, follow the instructions, have no disqualifications and apply within a reasonable timeframe but are still denied, we refund the cost of your course.

Can I reserve now and pick my date later?

Yes. At checkout, use Skip and Pick Date Later above the calendar, or Pick date later underneath it. Your seat is bought and you choose the class date when your schedule settles.
