A Chelmsford Clerk Faced a Machete on a Saturday Night
A man walked into a Littleton Road gas station in Chelmsford with a machete and made the clerk empty the register. The clerk was unhurt; police sought the suspect.

The clerk complied. The man fled with an undetermined amount of money, ran to another parking lot down the road, and drove off in a dark sedan toward the center of town.
No one was hurt. Police described the robber as a young man dressed all in black with a mask, and asked the public for help identifying him. For the clerk, it was the last hour of a routine Saturday shift at a gas station on a busy suburban road — until it very suddenly wasn't.
