Three Armed Robberies in One Week Hit Randolph and Quincy

The response was so urgent that two Randolph police cruisers collided on the way to the scene.
By Wednesday morning, police had arrested a 32-year-old Randolph man in connection with the holdup. Investigators said it was not an isolated event: they tied him to three armed robberies committed over the previous week, two in Randolph and one in Quincy, WHDH reported.
No customers or workers were reported hurt in the gas station robbery. But for the cashiers on the other side of that counter, and for anyone who happened to be filling a tank or buying a coffee nearby, it was a midday reminder of how quickly an ordinary errand can turn serious.
