She Was Sitting in Her Parked Car When They Knocked on the Window
A woman sitting in her car outside the Braintree AMC theater was carjacked at 6:30 p.m. by two suspects who threatened to shoot her. She was not hurt.

According to police, the pair threatened to shoot her if she did not get out of the car. No gun was ever displayed, but she had no way to know that. Fearing for her life, she stepped out. The two drove off in her car, which still had wallets and other personal valuables inside.
About an hour later, Boston police found the vehicle abandoned and unoccupied. Braintree detectives worked the case quickly, and within a day two juvenile suspects were identified and arrested, WHDH reported. Because of their ages, their names were not released. The woman was not physically harmed.

What we tell our students.
First, she did the right thing. When someone threatens your life over a car, the car is not worth it. Our instructors teach that a firearm is a last resort for protecting life, never property, and that compliance in a robbery is often the safest play there is.
What this incident really teaches is awareness. A parked car with the doors unlocked and your eyes on a phone is one of the most common places people get approached.
