A New Bedford Man Was Robbed Walking Near Acushnet Avenue
A man walking in New Bedford's North End was asked for money, then attacked with a sharp object and robbed of his wallet. His injuries were minor.

The stranger then lunged at him with a sharp object and took his wallet before running off. The victim suffered minor cuts and was not seriously hurt.
New Bedford police opened an investigation and asked anyone with information to come forward through their anonymous tip line, WHDH reported. The suspect was not immediately identified.
