A Walmart Employee Was Ambushed in a Northampton Parking Lot
A Northampton Walmart employee was struck by a car and robbed in the store's parking lot in July 2024. The attacker later pleaded guilty.
Scene imagery is illustrative — not the actual locationOn July 14, 2024, an employee of the Northampton Walmart was attacked in the store's own parking lot. The attacker hit him with a car, then beat him and took his wallet and phone, according to prosecutors.
The man used the stolen cash to buy a used car and fled the state, heading to Florida. He was detained there about a month later.
In July 2025, he pleaded guilty to armed robbery and related charges and was sentenced to serve up to five years in state prison. The victim survived the attack.
